It seems ironic that the famous Kelingking Beach, located in a remote spot called Nusa Lembongan, is accessible by the easiest route and makes one of the epic day trips, in case one starts it early.
The first one is to proceed to the Yellow Bridge that links Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan. This is the center point of departure to Nusa Penida by most of the small boats. You may use a local boat or a fast boat- the differences between that is that the journey has a period of 10-20 minutes, depending on the boat. The boats that are locally available are cheap, ranging between 50,000 IDR to 60,000 IDR and the fast ones can cost anything between 100,000 and 150,000 IDR per person.

Boats tend to leave with a sufficient number of passengers thus it is only advisable to arrive earlier in the morning, particularly, during the dry season.
As soon as you come to Toyapakeh Harbor on Nusa Penida, actual adventure starts. The Kelingking Beach is located 20 kilometers towards the harbor and the drive might take 40-60 minutes depending on the traffic and road. You will either have to rent a scooter (70,000-100,000 IDR per day or so) or get a personal driver. There is a better freedom of scooters, though the roads are sloping and contain potholes, so you have to take this direction only in case you feel sure of your driving in a regulating state. A personally hired car with a driver is a little bit more expensive but less unsafe and more comfortable.

In general, the entire journey of Nusa Lembongan to Kelingking Beach will consume about 1.5 to 2 hours, which will involve a boat ride and the drive in Penida. It is somewhat of an adventure all right, yet once you will get to the cliffside observation point and see that legendary T-Rex-shaped coastline, you will realize that it has been completely worth it.
