Koh Kood Island Thailand

I was thinking about him and him as the destination only after I have seen those best Thai Islands, e.g. Phuket and Koh Phi Phi Islands. I never imagined that I would ever go to Koh Kood (or Koh Kut) and love it, as a matter of fact I just liked it.

After two days of staying in the bustling Bangkok, a trip to Koh Kood was like searching the little unknown piece of heaven. It is certainly the beautiful island I have ever visited in Thailand.

Koh Kood (or Koh Kut) is a peaceful paradise in Thailand, often called the country’s most beautiful island. Having explored other popular Thai islands, I found Koh Kood a real hidden treasure – a serene retreat after a hectic stay on the mainland.

It has beautiful clear blue waters and pearly soft sands on its beaches with clear differences as to the serene northern beaches to a playful array in the southern beaches. You can best discover it using a rented scooter, as the west-facing island offers one of the most amazing sunsets and its serene atmosphere creates a truly unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience.

How To Get To Koh Kood From Bangkok

Travelling to Koh Kood brings one to start by land and combine with the sea option. A bus or a car ride to Trat (c. 5-6 hours) and another, 45-minute, to Laem Sok pier. Thereafter, an hour trip with a ferry will bring you to Koh Kood.

Alternatively, you may fly to Trat then travel to Laem Sok Pier to take the ferry, Bangkok to Trat. When you have reached the Koh Kood ferry pier, your hotel is usually accessible free of transportation charge.

One has to get to Koh Kood via Trat province in Thailand since there is no airport and bridge to the island. Tourists have to get to the Laem Sok Pier in the vicinity of the town of Trat. It is possible to reach it by bus or car departing at different starting points.

A number of ferry companies (such as Boonsiri, Koh Kood Express and Koh Kood Princess) provide regular ferry services at Laem Sok Pier to Koh Kood.

The journey in the ferry is usually an hour or a half to a maximum of 1.5 h bringing them directly on to the island where most Island hotels offer to transfer them as a free facility.

The common features of a map of Ko Kut, Thailand will show that the island is long in shape with its most developed and popular part located at the western coast. That is where most of the beautiful well-endowed resorts, restaurants and beaches are located.

There is one main road that usually leads north to south and interlinks these diverse bays and recreational attractions. The map would also show the green interior of the island showing the places of thick jungle and waterfalls such as Khlong Chao Waterfall which would often be marked down.

Ferries tend to be in piers in the western or northern side, eg. Ao Salad Pier. Basically, a Ko Kut map is a holy grail to guiding your directions in this peaceful paradise.

Best Place To Stay Koh Kood

Stay Koh Kood

The quality of the accommodation to stay in Koh Kood depends mostly on your budget and your close propensity to the beach. The conveniences in beachfront resorts are unrivaled to say the least, and so is the view.

Unfortunately, this comes at a more expensive rate. Villa accommodations are as high-end as Soneva Kiri, a resort with all the trappings, or mid-scale resorts are good-value along tourist magnets such as Klong Chao and Bangbao. Less lavish tourists will find non-beach lodging quite user-friendly at the rate of guesthouses and home stays, but to see beyond their location, they would need to rent a scooter.

Hotels at the outskirts of major roads or central places such as spots between Tinkerbell and Bangbao beaches are well-situated so that whatever you want to do on the island matches it.

In Koh Kood one really feels like they are in paradise and anyone who wishes to find peace and awe at natural beauty will be in the best of hands here.
